This 1995 Ford Mustang Convertible received some custom BASF Extreme Base Coat to demonstrate the new technology.
The body was prepped and a gold base color was sprayed around the edges of where a two tone was seperation is going to be. This allows a pinstripe to be incorporated as the rest of job is continued. After the gold was dry The white center section of the car was covered using the fine line gold pinstripe as the masking edge. The Red/Gold Pigment base was then sprayed. These colors are light reflective and at different angles the colors shades change.
Next, the two tone was covered and the center section was again sprayed white. When all was complete and the masking paper removed, the over all scheme is reveled. Some lettering was sprayed at the same time using vinyl stencils as a template.
The car was completed with a few coats of clear and then detailed for the road. It was taken up to the Woodward Cruise in Detroit MI. and used to roll up and down the cruise for the weekend.
